The wooden tops have been professionally joined in a herringbone pattern with a raised edge all around, and finished in a rich natural Broadway Brown. The squared bases are a dark linear metal, open and extremely sturdy! Place separately, or tuck the smaller one underneath the larger one when not needed. A great look either way!
